The learner will:
- identify public policy issues and link them to core democratic values.
- reseach United Way or a member agency and describe how it relates to public policy issues.
- research the position of agency director and write a letter of application.
- present information illustrating how the agency provides needed service to the community.
If your school has Service Learning or School To Work programs, this unit can add an academic component. If your school does not have these programs, this unit offers students a chance to participate in a simulation.
