Module Introduction

Description

Explore emerging research on the biology of philanthropic behavior, the development of altruism in children, the religious motivations for philanthropy, and adult motivations for giving and serving. The module focuses on the internal and personal reasons that people are philanthropic.

Learning Objectives

The learner will:

  1. describe age appropriate altruistic behavior.
  2. compare and contrast the philanthropic underpinnings of the worlds’ major religions.
  3. investigate and describe adult motivations for giving and serving.

CEU Credit

Upon successful completion of each module, the learner may request a certificate suitable for a professional development portfolio or as proof of educational clock hours that can be used towards continuing education credit in most states.
