Classroom

Educators strive to strategically create a learning experience for students to provide an opportunity for them to become knowledgeable, responsible, caring people.

Infusing the concept of philanthropy – giving time, talent and treasure and taking action for the common good – into core academic subjects is a natural way to achieve this goal. Since 1998 Learning to Give has worked with classroom teachers to develop these resources, and currently has more than 1,600 easily accessible, standards-based lesson plans and other classroom materials.

The Learning to Give Website

There are many ways to find resources that naturally teach the concepts of philanthropy. While Learning to Give is not the only way to accomplish this goal, there are numerous resources offered to you on the website at no cost. Feel free to utilize this material as-is, or adapt it for your own needs. Educators have endless ideas and these resources can provide a good foundation for bringing philanthropy concepts to students.

You will spend time on the Learning to Give website exploring the resources offered. You have two navigational choices:

  1. You can select the links offered in each section, or
  2. You can follow the "trail" and head there yourself! Start by opening the Learning to Give homepage in a new window.

Have fun exploring the site and finding character education and service learning resources for the youth in your life!
